Personal training! And fill?

Well I just got back from my first personal training session...
it was intense!!


Here's a run down...

3 reps of:
- 20 step ups with medicine ball
- 20 medicine ball squat and throws
- 10 push ups
- 30 seconds dumbbell punches
2 reps of boxing straight punches
2 x 3 stair runs
2 reps of boxing upper cuts
2 x 3 stair runs
2 reps of:
- 20 seconds crunches passing medicine balls
- 20 seconds bicycle crunches
- 20 seconds planks
Also, I have a fill appointment booked in for next week and I'm still debating whether I need an adjustment. I'm losing weight and I'm eating rather well... but my portions are still too big and I'm still snacking a lot
I still haven't wrapped my head around the lap band guidelines...not sure how far from my sweet spot i am and i dont want to risk being too tight again
Any suggestions?

I'm so conscious of everything I eat now, and although I still have treats here and there, I'm not craving junk 24/7
First PT session tonight! I'm excited but nervous

So happy that I'm losing! My band is working great. Restriction is good and motivation is still high :)

Help! Bingeing at work!

I am sitting here at the office alone all day and there is so much junk food floating around!
Jelly beans, cakes, biscuits
I am so bored and I know that I'm experiencing head hunger but once I think about how delicious that cake is I can't stop thinking about it!
I have been so good all week...and I am going to workout hard tonight. But it's so tempting to cheat just this once! :S

Challenge update

I have my first consult for measurements with my trainer on Tuesday

I actually didn't weigh in with my trainer on the first day of the challenge, so technically my start weight is 98.2kg...which was my weight at my first consult on May 8th

This morning (day 4 of challenge) I weighed in at 95.9kg...which means that I've already lost 2.3kg. Nearly half of what I set myself to lose in 8 weeks!

I am doing really well at the gym. I've been 4 times this week. I feel like I'm pushing myself...but maybe not as much as I can. That's why I'm going to start personal training soon. Looking forward to it but I'm nervous!

Motivated!

I think I've found the motivation that I had at the start of my lap band journey
The fill has done wonders. It's been a week since I got the fill and my hunger levels have dropped dramatically.
I eat only because it's that time of the day and I'm supposed to, but I don't crave and I don't constantly search for something to nibble on
I am working out so hard at the gym.

Sunday is zumba, Monday is boxing and the remaining 3 or 4 sessions is my plan which is hardcore cardio.
Today's workout involved:

15 mins treadmill- 5kph with minute runs every 5 mins
10 mins elliptical- 75-80rpm (so painful! had to push really hard)
20 mins recumbent bike- interval resistance between level 2 and 4
2 x 15 lateral raise
3 x stair runs lifting 4kg dumbbells
Stretching

I haven't been this motivated in a long time! I'm feeling so positive and I can just taste goal weight!

Weight loss challenge Day one!

I guess I should suck it up and announce my start weight...

14.5.12: *gulp* 97kg *gulp*

But on a good note, according to the gym scales, I have lost 1kg this week. Woo that's a good start!

The rules of the challenge are simple. Log a training session at least 4 times per week and eat well. Easy as that!

First workout was a boxing class. So painful! Stair runs with 2 x 10kg dumbbells was ridiculous! And we did so many crunches that I thought I was going to vomit

I'm sure I can do this. I can and I will lose 5kg in the next 8 weeks :)

Loss!

Total loss of 2.4kg (5.28lbs) in 12 days!
And coincidentally, I started gym 12 days ago on May 1st

So excited!
I've been going to the gym at least 4 times a week and it seems like it's now paying off

Goals and rewards

I am loving the gym right now
In fact, today I am going for two sessions!

I have officially signed up for the 8 week body transformation challenge!
Goal is a mimimum of 5kg (11lbs) in 8 weeks. Seems easy considering I'm eating well and working out...but in the last week and a half since starting gym I haven't even lost a hundred grams :(
Everyone keeps assuring me that I shouldn't expect results straight away and I'm gaining muscle mass...but if I can't even lose 5kg in the next two months then something is definitely wrong.

If I reach my goal, I am using the $50 I win to get a nose piercing. I've wanted to get it done for so long so it's perfect timing!

Last month a won a raffle and the prize was a haircut voucher at this great salon. I've decided that when I lose 10kg I will use that voucher. Between now and losing 10kg, I am not touching my hair...even if it a right mess!

Workout plan

I went for y gym consult today and the trainer was great!
So supportive and he thinks I could do really well.
He put me on a fat burner plan...lots and lots of cardio!
He wants me to workout for at least 45 mins 4 times a week

15 mins treadmill
15 mins elliptical/cross trainer
15 mins bike
5 mins rowing

It seems easy, but he wants me to work hard at it and sweat it out so I won't be taking it easy that's for sure!

Start of TOM so not a great weigh in
But I'm focusing more on getting fit and losing measurements now
I have a total of 4.8cc in a 10cc band
Hope it makes a difference. If not, I have another appointment in a few weeks
Off to the gym for my first consult. Weigh in and measurements eeeeeep!

I love boxing!

Went to my first boxing class today and I absolutely love it! It was a women's only class so it wasn't too intimidating...but the trainer killed us! So many stair sprints and crunches and punches and squats and kettle balls! Such a great workout I have a feeling my body will hate me tomorrow!

I'm back!

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted My weight loss...or should I say gain, has made me too guilty to post about it. But I am ready and back on track I even signed up for the gym!!! I officially started 1st May 2012 for a year contract! Now that's commitment :D I've had two gym sessions so far and I am SORE! But feeling really good about it. I am wearing the bodyfit media calorie band every day and I am sticking to a calorie intake of max 1200 per day I don't feel restriction in my band as yet so I'm just eating clean...my portions are still too big though. But I have a fill appointment on Tuesday 8th May I'm also joining an 8 week body transformation challenge at the gym! Goal is to lose at least 5 kg in 8 weeks. Seems possible. To qualify for the challenge you need to log 4 workouts per week so I have no way to cheat because my trainer will be on my back making sure I'm putting in the work!! Things are looking promising! I'm determined to drop a few sizes before November where I will be heading to America for a month! So excited to go shopping :P Hope people haven't forgotten about me! I will be spending this long miserable day at work reading all your posts :)
